Updated import documentation for East Africa

Smooth customs clearance depends on accurate, complete documentation. For most East African imports you will need a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and a certificate of origin.

Some product categories — electronics, medical equipment, food and chemicals — require additional certificates or pre-shipment inspection. Getting these right before the goods ship avoids costly delays and storage charges at the port.
